What is chorizo made of?
Our chorizo sausage made from heritage-breed pork that is raised humanely, with no antibiotics or hormones. This fully cooked, ready-to-eat Spanish-style sausage has all-natural ingredients and is flavored with smoky paprika. There are no artificial additives, nitrates, or nitrites in our mildly spicy, firm-textured chorizo sausage.
What makes chorizo different from other sausages?
There are various types of chorizo sausage: Mexican-style is raw, loose sausage, which must be cooked before consumption, and the Iberian type, which is smoked or dry-cured chorizo sausage. Our fully cooked chorizo is the latter style, a Spanish-inspired sausage that is made with heritage-breed pork, paprika, and all-natural ingredients.
What can you make with chorizo?
Perfect for tapas, our smoky chorizo can also add a spicy element to a charcuterie board. Chorizo is a classic ingredient in paella and brings zing to any rice or pasta dish. It’s also great for soups or stews and when chopped small it can make a flavorful topping for baked and fried potatoes or eggs (try our Spanish tortilla recipe). Pair chorizo with fish or shrimp for a classic Iberian dish, or try it with chicken dishes for a spicy accent. You will find more chorizo recipes in our recipe collection.
Charcuterie refers to smoked, cured or cooked meats, all of which are traditional methods of preservation.
We begin with the highest quality ingredients and follow traditional recipes and natural techniques.
Our handmade charcuterie line represents the full range of styles and flavors, including bacon, cured ham, cooked, uncooked and dry-cured sausages, pâtés and mousses, duck confit and rillettes, smoked and cured duck, chicken and turkey breasts.
